Tails on a Mission was founded in 2025 by Hatice and Imke - two good friends with a shared passion for dogs and nature. What started as a dream turned into a professional dog walking service dedicated to giving dogs the adventure, attention and care they deserve.
About us
Tails on a Mission was born out of a shared passion for animals and nature. As lifelong dog lovers with years of experience in training, babysitting and dog walking. We, Hatice and Imke, to turn our love for dogs into something bigger. What could be better than being outside all day, surrounded by happy, wagging tails?
We know how difficult it can be to find a place where you can leave your dog with peace of mind. A place that is not only safe and secure, but where your dog also has a really good time. That is exactly why we started Tails on a Mission. A happy dog means a happy owner, and we make sure your four-legged friend gets the attention, exercise and adventure he deserves.
We operate in Amsterdam West, Osdorp, Amsterdam Zuid, Sloten and Badhoevedorp, and welcome dogs of all breeds and sizes. Our dream? To grow and expand so that dogs throughout Amsterdam and the surrounding area can join our pack!
Thanks to our extensive experience working with different breeds, we know how to tailor each walk to the dogs' needs. In addition, we are a qualified dog walking service, we have done our training at the Martin Gaus Academy. This diploma is officially recognised by the Dutch Dog Walking Service Association.
But enough about us-if you're reading this, you probably have a sweet four-legged friend who could use some extra exercise, playtime or attention. Whether you have a busy schedule, are temporarily less mobile, or just wish your dog a great walk in nature, we're here for you!

Hi, I'm Hatice! Grew up in Enschede and have always been surrounded by animals. Now I live in Amsterdam with my two children and my sweet Golden Retriever, Mowgly.

I am Imke, an animal lover at heart. I grew up in the countryside with dogs and horses and have never lived without animals. I now have a cat, a dog and a horse to accompany me.

My name is Raúl, I am 22 years old and I study in Amsterdam. As a true animal lover, I enjoy exercising as many dogs as possible, a tired dog is a happy dog!
Our dog walking service
We offer daily morning and afternoon walks from Monday to Friday in Amsterdam West. Each dog is picked up and dropped off at your doorstep in our super-fast electric bus! 🚌
Your dog will enjoy an adventurous group walk in nature, with plenty of exercise, socialisation and fun, while you get busy with your day. Whether it's an energy boost in the morning or an afternoon adventure on the beach, we make sure each dog gets the attention, care and playtime he needs.

Whatever you do... Never fake the throw!
There is nothing worse for a dog than a human pretending to throw the ball. And we would never do that!
But no jokes, what all happens on our walks?
After picking up all the dogs in our electric bus, we head to a quiet nature spot in the region. Once we arrive, the dogs are carefully walked and leashed. Once everyone is ready, we walk to an area where they can run loose (only the dogs that can safely run loose).
From then on, each dog decides how to live its adventure. Some dogs sniff around, others are determined to find the biggest stick. Some run and play together, while others prefer to roll in the grass. Whatever they choose, we make sure everything goes smoothly and safely-by guiding the interactions, watching over the dogs and making sure there is no unnecessary chaos.
We also like to challenge the dogs mentally with games and exercises, so that they are stimulated not only physically, but also mentally. After about an hour and a half, we notice that most dogs start to get tired-some walk more quietly, others plop down for a nap in the grass. That is the signal for us to call the pack together again, walk back to the bus and bring everyone home safely.
